Ganderbal, September 29: The newly elected Ganderbal Press Association (GPA) on Tuesday organised a book-launch ceremony for young author Raina Raidah Riyaz and her book A Trauma Called Teenage at Islamic Revival International School, Kijpora, Kangan.
The programme was attended by GPA Chief Patron Aftab Ahmad, President Ayaz Mahmood, along with the newly elected office-bearers and members of the association.
Aijaz Ahmad, Chairman of Islamic Revival International School, and Sajad Assad, SHO Kangan, were also present on the occasion and extended their support and encouragement to the young author.
The event was organised shortly after the election of the new GPA team and provided a platform to celebrate and encourage emerging literary talent. Members of the association and guests congratulated Raina Raidah Riyaz on the launch of her book and appreciated her efforts in pursuing literature at a young age.
As a gesture of appreciation, the Ganderbal Press Association presented the young author with a cash award in recognition of her literary achievement.
The GPA congratulated Raina Raidah Riyaz and expressed hope that her work would inspire more young people to take up writing, creativity and literary pursuits.
